Lunch with an old bag 2018

Last year's Lunch with an Old Bag took place on Friday 7th September 2018 at Prestonfield House Hotel, marking the event's 10th anniversary during Scotland’s Year of Young People, and raising a record-breaking £1,066,000 to help transform the lives of young people supported by The Prince’s Trust.

A host of stars, including actor Linda Robson, national treasure Christopher Biggins, and musical act Bjorn Again joined 400 of the country’s most fabulous and influential women (and a few brave men) for a truly sensational day.

Lunch with an Old Bag was so named in order to address the unnecessary labelling of young people, who can so easily and unfairly be assigned to categories they do not fit, and to raise funds for the many programmes The Prince’s Trust runs to give young people the skills and confidence they need to live, learn and earn.

The LWOB Committee sourced an impressive selection of auction prizes including – an original artwork by renowned street artist Mr. Brainwash; a once in a lifetime shopping trip to NYC, crossing the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2; a personal portrait by Scottish Artist Iain Faulkner; and a magnificent Hermes Birkin handbag worth £24,000.

The Fast Bag Auction offered some of the fashion industry’s most indulgent and coveted handbags, and the crowning jewel, a stunning diamond ring, was raffled to raise an amazing £49,510.
